Cash-Pay Care

Do you accept insurance?

No. Wanderlust Concierge Health Care is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance for visits, memberships, consults, letters, DBQs, or medical opinion services.

Why don’t you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance because the insurance model often limits appointment time, access, and flexibility. A cash-pay model allows us to spend more time with patients, communicate more clearly, and focus on care that is personalized instead of rushed.

Do I still need health insurance?

Yes. We recommend maintaining insurance, catastrophic coverage, or another plan for emergencies, hospitalizations, surgeries, specialists, imaging, medications, and services outside of Wanderlust. Our membership is not health insurance and does not replace insurance.

Primary Care Membership

Is primary care available as fee-for-service?

No. Primary care is not offered as fee-for-service. Primary care at Wanderlust is membership-based because high-quality primary care requires continuity, follow-up, and a real provider relationship.

Why is primary care membership paid quarterly?

Primary care works best when we have enough time to understand your health history, follow up on concerns, review labs, adjust plans, and build continuity. Quarterly membership helps support that relationship and prevents primary care from being used as a one-time visit model.

What is included in primary care membership?

Membership may include routine primary care visits, extended appointment times, follow-up communication, care planning, preventive care discussions, chronic condition monitoring, and appropriate access to your provider. The exact services included are listed in your membership agreement.

What is not included in primary care membership?

Membership does not include emergency care, hospital care, specialist care, outside lab fees, imaging fees, prescriptions, third-party charges, or services outside the membership agreement.

Can I cancel my primary care membership?

Membership cancellation terms are listed in your written membership agreement. Primary care membership is designed for ongoing care, not one-month or one-visit access.

What is the RN Concierge Navigator?

The RN Concierge Navigator is a dedicated registered nurse who helps make your care experience smoother. They may assist with care coordination, referral support, follow-up tracking, lab and imaging coordination when ordered, medication and refill workflow support, pre-visit preparation, post-visit instructions, and routing clinical questions to the appropriate provider.

Metabolic & Hormone Optimization

What is metabolic and hormone optimization?

Metabolic and hormone optimization are focused service lines for patients who need a deeper evaluation than routine primary care. These services may involve more advanced lab review, closer follow-up, lifestyle guidance, medication management when appropriate, and a stronger commitment to the care plan.

Is metabolic or hormone optimization included in primary care membership?

No. Metabolic optimization and hormone optimization are not included in the primary care membership. They are separate services because they require more in-depth labs, education, guidance, treatment planning, follow-up, and patient commitment than routine primary care.

Does weight loss fall under primary care or metabolic optimization?

Weight loss falls under metabolic optimization. This may include a deeper review of metabolism, insulin resistance, nutrition, lifestyle, medications when appropriate, lab results, and ongoing progress. Weight loss treatment is not included in primary care membership.

Does hormone therapy fall under primary care or hormone optimization?

Hormone therapy falls under hormone optimization. This may include evaluation of symptoms, hormone-related labs, risk review, treatment options, monitoring, and follow-up. Hormone therapy is not included in primary care membership.

Can I do metabolic or hormone optimization without primary care membership?

Yes. Some patients come to Wanderlust specifically for metabolic optimization or hormone optimization. Others choose to have primary care membership and add metabolic or hormone optimization separately.

Do you guarantee weight loss or hormone results?

No. Results vary by patient. Recommendations depend on your symptoms, health history, lab results, risks, goals, and your consistency with the care plan.

What VA disability services do you provide?

We provide professional medical support that may include consult sessions/ medical record review, DBQs, and independent medical opinions when appropriate.

No. Wanderlust does not replace a VA-accredited attorney, claims agent, or Veterans Service Organization representative. We do not file claims for you, represent you before the VA, or guarantee a VA rating or approval.

Do you guarantee that my claim will be approved?

No. We do not guarantee VA claim approval, disability ratings, benefit amounts, or timelines. Our role is to provide clear, clinically supported medical documentation when appropriate.
